Why mentor?
Many high school girls are still discovering their passions and potential career paths. Your experience can open their eyes to opportunities they might not have considered, helping them to explore diverse fields, understand the realities of different professions, and make informed decisions about their future.
Mentoring goes beyond academic or career guidance. It’s about fostering critical life skills such as resilience, communication, and leadership. By sharing your experiences, you help these young women develop the tools they need to thrive both personally and professionally.
Becoming a mentor is not just an act of service; it’s a partnership that can be profoundly rewarding for both you and the young woman you support. Your time and effort is crucial to building a society where young women develop the confidence, skills, and support needed to succeed.
Who are our mentors?
Mentors are dedicated professional women who are passionate about their industries and committed to making a positive impact in their communities. Mentors live or work near one of our participating school partners.
What is the time commitment to be a mentor?
Mentors meet with their mentees throughout the school year (Sept-May) for weekly 1-hour mentoring sessions (20 meetings total). Mentoring teams explore topics related to education, career, and financial literacy supported by our weekly Session Guides.
