Gerald Stern, COO
Gerald joined Her Honor Mentoring in 2009 and serves as the Chief Operating Officer, shepherding the business side of the organization. He is committed to giving back to the Westchester community and is dedicated to helping young adults find a productive path in life. His family has lived in Westchester County for nearly 70 years. Born in New Rochelle, Gerald spent his childhood in Yonkers then Eastchester. After college, he working at small ad agencies in White Plains and Rye and other than a short stint in NYC has never left the county, working at Prodigy for nearly 13 years. Gerald is also an active board member at The Mental Health Association of Westchester, where he has served since 2012. Gerald, his wife, and two sons currently live in New Rochelle.
Gerald has over 35 years of experience in small business, corporate, non-profit, and creative environments. His consulting firm WOW Production Services offers a wide range of digital services that complement the promotion of brands, organizations, films, and personalities. With experience executing unified marketing efforts including social media marketing, integrated websites, social advertising campaigns, as well as traditional print/media; and other related services.
Miranda Mo, CFO
Miranda Mo is a financial management consultant specialized in nonprofit organizations. Her current assignments include CFO of Her Honor Mentoring, Treasurer of America China Public Affairs Institute, and Director of Accounting & Finance of Eileen Fisher Leadership Institute and Eileen Fisher Learning Lab. Since she joined Her Honor Mentoring in 2017, she has felt privileged to be a part of this amazing team that helps young women to pursue their dreams and become the hero of their own stories.
Miranda holds a master’s degree in Statistics with a concentration in Finance from Columbia University, a master’s degree in Economics from McGill University, and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Queens College. Her past work experiences include ANDRUS, Citibank, and Merrill Lynch. Gandhi’s “Be the change you want to see in the world” inspired her to change her career from banking to nonprofit.
Miranda lives with her husband and two kids in Westchester, New York. She enjoys spending time with her family on travel, sports, arts, and music.
Julie Konvisser, Director of Programming
Julie Konvisser is excited to join the Her Honor Mentoring team as Director of Programming. She has more than 25 years of experience serving foundations and nonprofit organizations. Along with her responsibilities at Her Honor, Julie continues to work for Volunteer New York! on assignment as Director of Community Engagement for the City of New Rochelle.
Julie was first introduced to Her Honor when she planned a corporate volunteer special event with the program in 2019. In just those few hours, Julie witnessed the significant impact that could be made from building connections between professionals in the workplace and young women determining their future career and education plans.
Julie holds a Master of Business Administration from New York University with concentrations in Management and Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Tufts University.
Julie lives with her husband and two kids in Westchester, New York. In her free time, she enjoys stand up paddleboarding, hiking, planning the next family trip, solving crossword puzzles, reading books, and walking with friends.
Sarah Levy, Social Media Coordinator
Sarah Levy is the Communications and Social Media Coordinator at Her Honor Mentoring. She recently joined the Her Honor team after completing her first year of law school at New York Law School. In 2019 she graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor's degree in communications and a minor in business law. Sarah is currently a law student with two years to go until she earns her Juris Doctorate. She is passionate about connecting people through social platforms and looks forward to adding an additional layer of online connection opportunities for the Her Honor community.
Sarah lives in Greenwich Village, NYC. She enjoys family dinners, traveling, and keeping up to date on all the latest shows and movies. She is a great addition to our Her Honor team and will enable us to use our social media platforms to further open doors and inspire minds near and far.
Federica Balboni, Mentoring Coordinator
Federica Balboni is the current mentoring coordinator for Her Honor Mentoring. She joined the Her Honor Mentoring team in 2019 after graduating from Fordham University where she received her bachelor’s degree in sociology. Federica is currently pursuing her Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in nonprofit administration at Baruch College. She is grateful to be part of the Her Honor team because she is passionate about the impact this program has on the future of young women.
Federica’s work experience includes working with organizations such as Make-A-Wish Foundation, Success Academy Charter Schools, American Cancer Society, Meals on Wheels, and Lifting Up Westchester. Her desire to pursue a career in the nonprofit sector stems from her desire to make a difference. She is a firm believer that any act of kindness regardless of its size goes a long way.
Federica lives in Westchester, New York at home with her family. She enjoys spending time with friends, the outdoors, volunteering, traveling, and reading.
